The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 2009 with one conventional course with combination of Physics and Chemistry. In 2014, A new restructured course was introduced with the combination of Physics and Computer Science.  It is the bridle department of Government Degree College, Narasanna Peta with 11 years of history. Currently, it has 2 faculty members and over 138 students pursuing bachelor's degrees.

Now in the academic year 2020-21, another new restructured course is introduced with the combination of Chemistry and Computer Science, one market-oriented course with the combination of Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry. The Department of Mathematics is offering 4 undergraduate courses in total.

Students of the department of Mathematics are motivated to be innovative in their thinking while being strong in Analytical and logical. They are exposed to the latest technology through “Student to Student Programme”, workshops and guest lectures.

The Departmentof Mathematics is functioning together with the departments of Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.
